About me
I am working on Safe Deep Reinforcement Learning techniques for food production and water distribution systems. My research interests include data-driven control and machine learning algorithms for building trustworthy artificial intelligence agents in safety-critical mechatronics systems.
Likewise, my motivation moves towards innovation and co-creation processes that involve knowledge transfer between universities and research centres with the industry and society. Outside academia, I enjoy analyzing geopolitics and finance news and develop investment strategies based on signal processing techniques. I support voluntary causes related to education and science dissemination to engage young people in research.

- 17-12-2022 - I am delighted to announce that I will join the Faculty of Engineering and Science at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, as a lecturer in Artificial Intelligence in the spring of 2023.
- 18-08-2022 - My paper “Risk-Aware Particle Filtering For State Estimation In Recirculating Aquaculture Systems” was accepted in the The Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers in Pacific Grove, CA, USA.
- 30-11-2021 - My paper “Forecasting Aquaponic Systems Behaviour With Recurrent Neural Networks Models” was accepted in the Northern Light Deep Learning 2022 conference in Tromso, Norway.
